How can I speak plainly?

There are so many messy questions.

Are you humble in the mornings?

What do you care about?

Do you worry over the fate of the planet?

Do you think of me?

What do you expect of me?

Are you willing to wait?

I know music wouldn't be the same without you

I know you changed my life

I know you're good people

I know you love deeply

I know your voice.

What could I know that would make me like you more?

Tell me it's okay to fall for someone you've never met.

No I won't do research, that'd do no good.

Someone as big as you deserves more freedom,

Sorry you have to work so hard to stay low.

If you like,

Tell me more.

I'm all ears.

there is this tree

it stands alone in a lush garden

vines climb the trunk

close to the green leaves

and blossoms

it was planted in the beginning

a lonesome seed at the time

that's all it took

the ancient tree

could last forever

that is if we don't wreck this planet first

that's why I try so hard

I can't let any of them go down

I'll protect them with my whole life

my sister dangles her feet from the branches

my mother picks the fruit for us

my father prunes the branches

we're all involved

come at it with an axe

I dare you

my response if deadly

oh you dare not?

that's what I thought

this is our tree

long leafy branches

deep roots

ripe fruit

this is our tree

are the ignorant to blame if by nature they are already ignorant?
