[Read & Listen to Alpine Sketch - Christian Löffler]

I awoke to a lullaby

Or was it a sweet goodbye?

I don't want to know

Let me be in the snow

Its melody rings through my mind

Words undefined

If I stop hearing it inside

Will the lullaby be replaced and thus denied?

How did I get here?

Where is here?

The snow covers my closed lids

The white angel's impression hugging me from below

This world's

been damn

cruel

to you

Shrivelled you up

like a dried leaf in

fall

Crispy, you're ready to

crack

faced with everyone you

lack

Skeleton of veins

searching for someone to

fill

you

in

Thirsty for the

wind

to carry you home

No force of wind

not even hurricane gale force

can lift you like that

So now I'll share my

secret;

you're more than a living skeleton

This leaf must crumble

but so too do your insecurities

Winter gives you a white

background

To define yourself

Before spring arrives

and brings you

Back

To

Life

Instead of being a leaf

Try being a tree this time.

Tonight, tonight

How will I know it's you?

All things I see, I see you

Now I'm lost

Know what I mean?

Yes I'll take your help

Only if it's being offered

Up tonight, tonight
